Trump is gonna win 2024, thus locking in 4 more years for the deep state. Then after that probably some Clinton-related person will win, and around and around it goes.

It's theater, the more you ignore it the less important it becomes.

Trump is never going to get the republican party approval this time, PERIOD.

He didn't have the RNC support in 2016 and that didn't stop him then, so I don't know why it would stop him this time

Not even the VP, but the deep state -- the lobbyists and "aides" that schedule everything the president does, what he signs, what bills come to vote, etc. The people that can't be voted out.

        [–]ActuallyNot 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (4 children)

        You'd think.

But you'd think they wouldn't choose him the first time.

Trump still controls the GOP. Those Republicans who voted to impeach will not win their primaries.

His legacy is the fall of the US into theocracy. Abortion illegal in many states. Contraception will follow. Which books in a huge increase in violent crime in 15 years, and more resources moved into policing and corrections, at the expense of infrastructure and education.

        [–]milkmender11 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Abortion is not under assault from conservatives, it is being used as a wedge issue by democrats. Conservatives blocked Obama's court pick for eight months. Democrats desperately rushed to fast-track ACB in a matter of weeks. They barely had enough time to lay out the rosepetals for her, but they managed. They did this to trigger court decisions that they could use to bludgeon democrat voters over the head with. "See those awful republicans, challenging abortion?? We told you they were awful! Nevermind what we're doing elsewhere!"

        [–]ActuallyNot 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Abortion is not under assault from conservatives,

It's gone, so it's been under assualt from someone. And it's Republican picked judges only that killed it.

Contraception could well be next. Banning that was unconstitutional for the same arguments that abortion was.

They have had thousands of years and unlimited resources to perfect their grift. If someone knew a way around this, they would have to simultaneously keep that info secret and share it with the masses.

Worse, some polls show that Biden would lose to former President Donald Trump in a new election

Probably. I never thought that'd happen. The "big boys" were supposed to be back in charge but things were better when Cheeto ran things. Which is at least partially incidental but regardless it affects people's feelings.

Ultimately I think the blame rests with the DNC for giving us these shit candidates.

Yep, this is what happens when candidates are appointed under the veil of a 'fair election'. What people fail to realize is once this becomes even more blatant than it already is, they will have no need to pretend to care about the masses since they are under no threat from being removed by the same masses.

I'm guessing DeSantis would crush Biden as well.

          [–][deleted] 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

Oh definitely, DeSantis would have probably done that before all this. Biden was the not-Trump vote, the threshold Biden needed for the presidency was much less than would normally be required. So if Trump ran again as things were the anti-Trump vote would come out again and Trump would lose. But now there's people who don't think Biden is the lesser evil, that lowered threshold has disappeared.

lol, you're wrong. Under trump's incompetent leadership, unemployment peaked at 12% because he screwed up his COVID19 response. trump first ignored COVID19, tried to downplay its severity when he could no longer ignore it. trump was slow to stop flights coming in from China.

When trump left office the economy lost 2.9 million jobs. The unemployment rate increased by 1.6 percentage points to 6.3%.

Under Biden, unemployment is at 4.8%, a rate lower than trump's.

Ultimately I think the blame rests with the DNC for giving us these shit candidates.

The DNC did its job and did it well. Nominate someone who can beat trump in the general.

Basically, you are right. M7 can give us a concise definition. Yesterday I was listening to him on a YouTube podcast talking about the Rothschilds and I think the term came up. Someone else sets your two choices and neither is really what you want, plus they control both sides anyway.

Just those too lazy to exercise on a semi regular basis.

I'm not a fan of either but Trump was the superior leader.

So superior he failed to get a new southern border wall even though he had a majority in both houses of congress for over a year. He was so superior he failed to repeal and replace Obamacare. He was so superior he failed to prevent North Korea's nuclear weapon's program from advancing.

          Biden has failed us.

Looks like he's merely following trump's incompetent footsteps.

The covid response was not a President's screw up

It's trump's fault he decided to ignore COVID19 at first. It's trump's fault he decided to downplay COVID19's severity. It's trump's fault he was slow to stop incoming flights from China for those who are not American citizens.

As trump tweeted while Obama was in office back in 2013.

“Leadership: Whatever happens, you're responsible. If it doesn't happen, you're responsible,”

In trump's own words, it's his fault, he's responsible due to his incompetence.

              Is "fair" really negative?

Excellent+Good+Fair gives Biden about 55% approval. Which is better than other polls.

He seems to be sitting at about 45% approval. Which is tanking.

That's worse at this point in the presidency than any president since Ford. Who had just pardoned Nixon.

Not counting Trump of course. He didn't have 45% when he was elected.

The retreat from Afghanistan was too rushed, and people have died in the chaos. I only hope he's learned from Ford and continues to pursue Trump for his corruption.

If you want to see the actual poll results, search: biden approval rating poll To put that in perspective, search for Trump's approval rating and you'll see it as low as 29%. As Trump knew, the right-wing would support him no matter what he did.
