Well that's the crux of this issue isn't it. I understand your point of view about Germany, but I'll point out that the other way to see the two sides of the scale are: citizens of a country being expelled vs non-citizen residents after a territory change being expelled. I'm not saying it's right, but I am saying that country changes do happen. I wouldn't fault Russia for kicking out their hardline communists, for instance.

When you say they created this situation, there are 3 ways to split the blame A) Israel for kicking residents out B) surrounding nations that refused to take said ethnically, culturally, and religiously similar peoples, and C) the people themselves who chose to ignore the lawful requests to leave. You're choosing A alone but not really discussing why it shouldn't be B+C. I want more than what-about-ism of "the Jews could leave!" Yes, I know they could. So could the other side.
