Never ran a company.

Never held political office.

Never oversaw any accounts.

Never even held a job - any job.

Not even a position at a university.

He drank heavily.

He had a worthless humanities degree.

He was a misogynist, a homophobe and a racist.

Supported throughout his life by his rich friend Friedrich Engels.

He is considered by academics to be the greatest social, political, and economic philosopher of all time.

All applications of his theories have ended in failure.

I never understood the obsession with this guy when he was such a massive piece of shit and embodied everything hated by a large swathof the people that follow him. I understand that even shitty people can have great ideas, but this baffles me.
