This is only true for certain demographics of black people. The children of immigrants from the Caribbean or Africa in the US are more likely to become academics than the settled whites.

While in the UK children of Caribbean immigrants do badly at school but Africa still do better, I'm guessing we have a difference in the class of immigrants we get from that area, the Caribbean middle classes emigrate to the US and the working class, who want healthcare and social support, come to the UK.

True. thrown in some white DNA and everything changes. I went to fancy schools and top ivy leagues with black+ people, who were smart and interesting.

It's cherry-picking the top few percent of those countries.

Which is a tragedy, because their people need them to stay. Who else is going to help them change their situation if they just get abandoned by their best and brightest?

In agree but partly this is a problem in their own cultures as well as the rich ones.

I have a friend who's job it is to find doctors from all over the world to work in the NHS and get them visas, housing, etc and she can predict within a couple of years how long they'll stay just from what country they are from. Immigrants from some cultures will want to settle, become British, others will keep themselves in the expat community and go home after 10 years. If she gets a big recruitment of doctors from the latter countries one year she knows in 7-10 years she's going to have a load leaving at the same time. This is bad for her but it's arguably better for their home country that it's citizens have respect for it.

What if they don't listen to their best and brightest and attempts to use force are blocked by the western empires?

Change comes from inside. If a society's top 5% all abandon their own people, their nations will never improve. It's a form of cultural imperialism, robbing developing countries of their intellectual capital. Of course, the western empires don't want these countries to get better, they want them to wallow in eternal poverty and war.

If a society's top 5% all abandon their own people, they can form a new nation. Pretending that some aggressive non-relatives you have nothing in common with are connected to you through being a part of the same imaginary entity only works when these non-relatives don't actively try to destroy everything you create.

It's selfish, cruel, and abandons vulnerable people to continue a cycle of ignorance and violence. More to the point, it allows continued exploitation of resources by western colonialists. India didn't stand up and become independent by Ghandi leaving to teach philosophy in Paris.

Letting people live in accordance with their nature is cruel? Focusing on providing the best guidance for those who depend on us is selfish? How can one possibly abandon something one doesn't own? Heavens can be called cruel, but they are hardly selfish, and will outlast anything we create.

Africa already has its independence, it doesn't want to change its culture. India has spent millennia being the center of the planet, you'll have a chance to experience a reconstruction of its fall, soon.

Stealing the best and brightest from brown people countries for the benefit of white people countries is racist and evil. End of story.

Stealing? I thought they've lost the right to own people when the British Empire decided to ban slavery.

Sometimes, when two parts of a nation accumulate too many differences, they may split into two different nations. It happens.

Long distance travelling is natural for humans, there is nothing unnatural with leaving one's country. Especially when your country doesn't support you at all.

Super. Now not only are you advocating for the racist colonizers, you're arguing for their right to keep other nations in poverty. What a gem you are. They must love you at the KKK meetings.

You don't need to have a high IQ, to have a good moral base. If their 'best and brightest' leave, they can still plant crops and write just laws without them. Communities aren't based on engineering degrees, they are based on people, often times utilizing the most basic rules of authority which is force. After all, it is the civilized, intelligent, and empathetic man that often allow for people such as Bill Gates to walk the Earth a free, when a cudgel to his skull will fix that up nice and quick.

A based man, and society, is not a always a bad thing, just as a manual drive isn't obsolete because of the automatic transmission exists.
