The elites release these every 13 years, it's some sort of ritual. Cicada 3301 is part of it. Used to recruit. This article is full of numeric symbolism.

But not the longest. A queen ant or termite may live for decades.

The article says brood 19 has a 13 year cycle, but it doesn't say that brood 12 has a 17 year cycle.

So they sync up every 221 years: 1803, 2024, 2245, etc.
