This is stupid far right propaganda - pitting supid people against poor people. Cities in the US have welfare programs - have had them for a long time. The standard food program for a family of 4 who is in poverty and who qualify in NYC is $973/ month. It's been like that for a long time. A family of 8 gets twice that (if they qualify). In NYC that barely pays for the cheepest bread and milk &c. IT'S NOT A FUCKING CREDIT CARD.

Wow! That's more than double my family of 4's monthly food budget. We don't live in NYC, but the cost of living calculator shows NYC to be 13% more expensive... not 261%.
