If someone were to trick you into getting on a plane with no money or ID, it hardly matters where the plane is going to land; that is already obviously a bad person.

They are not being tricked, comrade. They are being told the truth, that instead of going to a place which is actively unwelcoming, they have the chance to go to a place where the government WANTS to help.

Of course they're being tricked. If Abbott wanted to collaborate with Brandon Johnson to help these people, that would be one thing. But he's got no interest in doing that. He's just flying them out without any information about what's going on or a single heads-up to the Chicago or Illinois governments and then giggling like a trollish teenager: lolol you weren't ready for them and now they have nothing to eat and nowhere to sleep and it's your problem.

Coyotes notoriously have a terrible track record when it comes to exploiting desperate people. They've robbed people of everything they own; they've left people in the wilderness to die. It's pretty fucked up.

Of course, the coyotes do it because they themselves tend to be poor and desperate. Abbott only does it because he's a born asshole.
