I hope the ass wipe passenger and driver dies of old age in there, and the men have fun with both of them. See if they find that as funny as killing a cyclist.

They hit another cyclist before that and ran a car off the road trying to kill the driver, but there was no outcry until it was publicly known that the cyclist who died was a former cop

Only in your circle. A lot of people were upset by that video. No one knew they had tried to kill other people.

It is people like you who mute the response to black crime. Anti cop sentiment and left wing propaganda go hand in hand.

We're so fucking shizophrenic when it comes to what is and isn't a minor.

When you're 20 you can't have a beer because your brain is unformed and you can't make genuine decisions.

When you're 17 you can't give a blowjob because your brain is unformed and you can't make genuine decisions.

When you're 15 and you hurt someone, sure, you knew exactly what you were doing, that was a genuine decision.

doesn't understand levels of responsibility and maturity

kindergarteners know it's wrong to hit others

Yeah, I tend to believe we have the ability to make decisions for ourselves by the time we're about fourteen, but of course we can't really admit that, because then we wouldn't have grounds for all the laws that say that fourteen year olds are exactly like four year olds.

There is a big difference between irresponsible drinking and murder. A 15 year old knows what murder is. The vast majority would never do something like that. I don't know if they should be tried as juveniles, but I do know that decision has to be made considering similar situations and not comparing it to copletely unrelated situations.

There may be a difference, but the difference does not lie in the question of what age a person must reach before they can make a genuine decision and not just a decision driven by inexperience and hormonal chaos.

There is, in fact, a huge difference in the question of what age is appropropriate for them to make decisions of different types. Each and every type of decision and responsibility needs to be determined on it's own. It is absolutely absurd to have one age to determine everything.

I object to the phrase "in fact." None of this is about fact. It's just about opinion.

And society's opinion seems to be that you need to be 21 to decide to drink a beer, 16 to decide to drive a car, 18 to decide to give a blowjob, and 12 to decide to shoot someone in the face.

It's a pretty fucking shaky opinion. It doesn't make a lot of sense. It's just the social convention we've got right now, I guess.

It does make sense. Different parts of the brain develop at different times. By 16 if you decided you are going to be a murderer it isn't going to change when you become 21.

Also the consequence of not allowing a 16 year old to drink is that there is a small inconvenience to 16 year olds and potentially a lot of benefit. The consequence of releasing a murderer early is that people get murdered.

I 100% agree with this and have said the same for decades.

Oh, we are old enough to force someone under 21 to be a father/mother, send them to war, put them in adult jail, get married, get life altering surgeries, but having a Beer? No way you do not have the maturity to handle that!
