Seems like a cash grab to me. They wanted to continue their vacation instead of burying gramps. Predictably, gramps got stale.

It's a cruise ship, FFS- no place for a dead man, nor the people who are supposed to be mourning him.

According to the article, there's supposed to be a morgue on board but it wasn't operational.

That's between the ship's owners and the organizations that regulate them. It has fuck all to do with the plaintiffs.

I would expect them to put the body in the freezer. That's what all other ships do if someone dies at sea. These people probably just have no idea what they are doing.
