Realize me and the GOP are coming from very different places in our objections to woke stuff. It isn't fair to conflate my objections with someone elses objections that are for a totally different reason

My objection is coming from a place of traditional LIBERAL political philosophy, not conservativism, but I'm no progressive either, I reject the paradigm completely

As far as the trans stuff goes, I do not share their hatred for this group BUT:

This 'Don't Say Gay' bill does NOT prevent discussions about gender, it prevents them making gender ideology part of the curriculum. I have read the actual wording of the bills, and the left-wing media have misled people about the specifics of this. Schools have about as much business teaching that as they do creationism, and both should be stopped. It is a non-scientific, purely ideological belief. I am in agreement with the conservatives on that, but I'm not conservative.

I am not however in agreement on banning drag shows, gay marriage, pride parades and the like. Thats protected expression, just like my protected right to express a philosophical belief in biological gender. They can have their protected belief, they may NOT force it on others who ought to have the same protections for their beliefs. I believe in liberalism on social issues like this, and I care very little whether it is seen as 'conservative' or 'progressive' by people who would try to force me into this culture war of two sides I fundamentally disagree with and think are destroying society by forcing people to choose sides and accept wholesale platforms of contradictory, extreme and authoritarian ideas based solely on some appeal to temporal order
