No tears, but there is an expectation that the "professionals" do their jobs and when they don't and people get killed, they be held accountable. In the case of cops, they are responsible for who they shoot and know their guns are loaded with live ammo. Based on the few people who actually get shot by cops, it's amazing more people DON'T get shot. People like Baldwin just want to be on what they perceive is the right side of the narrative, so I get it, it's good to see someone like him on the other side, expecting common sense and due process to be a thing, and it's not.

Everyone makes mistakes. Literally everyone. Cops continually face life threatening situations where tgeir mistakes made under the threat of their imminent death can kill someone. You need to take that under account unless you want anarchy.

If a cop is not in imminent danger then by all means throw the book at them, but u dont throw someone under the bus while they are risking their life because they made a mistake.

Baldwin was in no such danger but he killed someone anyway. Why would he get lesser charges?

If he's guilty of involuntary manslaughter, then the armorer should be guilty of manslaughter in my mind. The negligence on her part is more severe than what Baldwin did. It's not like there are hundreds of incidence where people get shot by live rounds on movie sets. I'm sure it happens, but he would have felt some security knowing a professional handled the weapons. I think he's guilty in that he pointed what he thought was a gun loaded with blanks (crazy irresponsible even if it did have blanks in it), but the more severe crime is loading a gun to be used by an actor with live rounds. I'm not going to lose any sleep if he goes to jail for involuntary manslaughter, he deserves to face the music. I just feel the armorer is more responsible than him.

I agree with all that. The armorer is the one most responsible. I'm generally not someone who thinks SOMEONE MUST PAY every time bad shit happens and people are hurt. I think intent is by far the most important thing. However we now live in a decaying tribalistic society where people circle the wagons based on agendas and ethnicity and there are no clear consistent rules that everyone is held equally responsible for. Baldwin is exactly the type of motherfucker that helped cause this situation, although he's small potatoes compared to the oligarchs and people who run shit. Baldwin is just one of their dancing monkeys, he just danced more enthusiastically than most.

Agreed! He did make his bed on this and is reaping what he sewed. And I think he is absolutely partially negligent in aiming a gun, any gun, at someone. I'm going to bet he doesn't end up with involuntary manslaughter, but pleads down to a lesser charge and pays a ton of money. If he spends a day in jail, I'll be surprised. Now THAT's the privilege someone like him rants about.
