back channels between Twitter and different feds and influence makers.

A lot of individuals and groups have this access, because it's Twitter and there are thousands of probem posts regularly.

Step 1: ask someone at Twitter to remove something, or dozens of something (this is likely easier for feds than for us)

Step 2: if this doesn't happen, send the cease and desist letter

Step 3: if that doesn't work, sue

Maybe it's legal, but it's partisan as fuck and probably immoral.

It's not partisan because many in government can try to use the DOJ or government resources to arrange cease and desist orders in the event of defamation and misinformation. Politicians aren't significantly protected from defamation, but the kids of politicians are. If however the GOP requested information that was subsequently destroyed or hidden by Dems, that would be partisan of those slimy Dems.

Immoral? Because Biden covered up the $2 billion received by Hunter from the Chinese? Oh wait - that was J. Kushner receiving $2bn for Saudi access to US secrets. Yes, not a fair whataboutist argument, but whatever....
