Yes. There are several strategies to finding a good doctor, the first of which is to get recommendations. Another method is to try a different doctor if you are not satisfied with your current doctor, until you meet one you like. It should be unlikely that they will be terrible doctors. I had hoped my note was obvious, but here's more info:

1st: anyone can manipulate stats and that Jamie Jenkins chart seems to be manipulated

2nd: I don't agree with the 24/7 politican arguments that 1) Russian natural gas prices are the main reason for all other high prices, especially when big energy and big services companies are making 10s of billions in profits while price gouging, and 2) when the UK is much worse off than other countries for inflation and the recession due to Brexit

3rd: I can quickly find graphs here, here, and here that show a slight rise in natural gas prices that is dwarfed by the rises in prices after 24 February

4th: my point is that the invasion made matters worse (whilst countries see higher gas prices, while they send munitions and money to Ukraine, while they take in Ukrainian refugees, while they pay higher food prices because &c)

5th: Tiny uncorroborated tweets are not reliable as news resources

It would be a lot easier to take those claims seriously if we would stop making up false claims that are adjacent to them.

I agree.

This is the second time they have done this.

Yes, or perhaps 3rd and 4th &c. There is a mix of false information with the other information coming from the front, and it can be difficult for some to understand fake news when they read it, especially when we consider the horrific methods of rape and turture that are reported and videoed.

Earlier this year they said Russian's were raping 1-year old babies, and then had to admit they completely fabricated it.

Yes.

How can I possibly take any rape claims at face value when the media has shown a propensity for repeatedly lying about this specific subject and making up Russian fear porn.

1) Consider that 96% of the reports might be relatively accurate, because Ukrainians are trying their best to survive and to report what's happened, with oral history, photos and videos that provide plenty of evidence (and Russian propaganda isn't believable in the least. They're also reporting only 9k Russian deaths, when the actual number is closer to 90k or 100k on each side. Ukrainians have worked hard to give an accurate description of what is happening, especially because their evidence - and that of independent reporters and the UN investigators is being used to investigate human rights abuses.)

2) Get a sense of how horrifying those reports are, even if you only want to accept that a smaller percentage are accurate

3) Avoid Saidit hivemind cognitive dissonance

Regardless of a UN envoy's dumbass mistake, perhaps we consider the testamonies of the many Ukrainian women who were raped and the numerous examples of dead bodies that were found with obvious signs of rape and torture, as well as the numerous civilian targets destroyed by Russians, the active genocide and kidnapping of Ukrainians, the tens of thousands of innocent Ukrainians who've been murdered, as well as the millions of Ukrainians who've been displaced and many of their livelihoods and belongings lost. /u/HongKongPhooey no one should give a FUCK about a UN dumbasses comment, by contast with Russia's obvious rape of Ukraine. 5000 fewer employees. Turns out most of those jobs were pure bloat since the service runs fine without them.

This is your opinion, not evidence of a site-wide assessment by Twitter, nor would there be an immediate change in the system. We'll know in 30-90 days.

And now advertisers are quietly crawling back, the pricks.

This is also your opinion, and unrelated to what in general has happened. Apple and Amazon resumed advertising, per the article, whereas "Many companies from General Mills Inc (GIS.N) to luxury automaker Audi of America stopped or paused advertising." If advertisers return, we'll know in 30-90 days, not right away.

A lot less child porn.

This is also just your opinion. You're linking to the claims of a few people on Twitter, which may or may not be accurate, and do not specifically claim to address child porn, in the 44.000 suspicious accounts. That's a person or several people claiming that he/they suspended suspicious accounts in a 24-hour period. They are required to do this (re. child porn) by many nations. We will not know if they have been effective until 30-90 days have passed.

I hope it's under 280 characters, and agree it would be dumb to try to include a tweet longer than 280 characters here in /s/whatever. I use Twitter ~30 minutes per day, 99% of that time to engage with friends and thus do not see disinformation, to my knowledge. Perhaps your friends share disinformation. The friend's note (eg. a screenshot) that she will be 'migrating' to a different social media platform at the end of February cannot be shared at the moment (because I can't be bothered). As honoured as I am that you'd deign to respond to my comment, it's unfortunate that you seem particularly focused on insults rather than arguments. My main argument remains: users who want to leave will start first with announcements, and then gradually migrate to other platforms, or might not. But we won't know for 30-90 days which ones have gone through this process. OP's post is obviously a premature ejaculate.

Notes I've seen from those who want to quit indicate that they will transition to other social media sites during a 30 - 90 day period. One friend will leave in February, she says.

Absolutely, one of the primary architects of the destabilization of the middle east and almost every region on earth. Articles about his global reach merely scratch the surface (https://inthesetimes.com/article/henry-kissinger-greg-grandin-us-blowback-middle-east), and much of that is for the declassified material. Not that he did it on his own, but he'e arguably been at the center of imperial, war mongering, Zionist, Realpolitik, terrorist US foreign policy for 35 years. He has the blood of millions on his hands, and before he dies, should be shown that we know what he's done.

This is related to US proxy wars which are over 150 years old, involving over 100 major conflicts, and shows the powerful control of the US military industrial complex throughout this period, regardless of the president. (Yes, this didn't look good for the Nobel Peace prize, but there is a much bigger discussion about the preservation of so-called peace with the help of so-called justified war; not that I fully agree with it however, as we can follow the money for the proxy wars to war profiteers, rather than an interest in peace. For example, which countries helped develop Islamic extremists in the middle east?: Israel, US, Russia, Turkey, France, UK, etc., etc. But most people in those countries didn't want any of it. Money in politics will continue corporate & 1% control over everything, regardless of the president.)

Short answer: lawyers, guns and money

Longer answer: those who can revolt against the tyranny of coordinated misinformation campaigns by special interests (think of the number of new far right misinformation websites and 10s of thousands of misinformaiton campaign posts online at Twitter and elsewhere, many of which must be deleted daily or social media will be innundated with thiem. There is much more funding for far right misinformation campaigns in recent years. Think also of the aggressive misinformation campaigns of UKIP and Torries for Brexit, and how that has absolutely FUCKED the UK, along with the privatisation of some of the world's best national services, which are now also fucked. Individuals should protest against lies, misinformaiton, disinformation and other campaigns by the 1% that are fucking over the 99%. Protests on social media sometimes work, as well as electing officials who will actually represent the 99% and thereby help with calls to reduce misinformation that is not protected by free speech laws. Most misinformation is protected, but defamation is normally not protected. In the UK, however, some have gone to jail for making racist comments, but that's life in the nanny state, sadly.)

It's not partisan because many in government can try to use the DOJ or government resources to arrange cease and desist orders in the event of defamation and misinformation. Politicians aren't significantly protected from defamation, but the kids of politicians are. If however the GOP requested information that was subsequently destroyed or hidden by Dems, that would be partisan of those slimy Dems.

Immoral? Because Biden covered up the $2 billion received by Hunter from the Chinese? Oh wait - that was J. Kushner receiving $2bn for Saudi access to US secrets. Yes, not a fair whataboutist argument, but whatever....

Public perception of that star was sufficient to suspend Kanye's account. Context...

'Legally-binding' is a term for a legal letter that binds the plaintiff in this case, not the defendant. It's the plaintiff's legal (binding) record and initiation of legal action, in advance of the potential for a lawsuit.

Obviously Twitter prioritizes cases according to several factors. You must know that Twitter has removed items that were considered defamatory or abusive to children, or a Star of David Swastika post by Kanye, or whatever. Since you seem to need examples: 5 factors:

Lawyers - legal teams can get Twitter's attention

Social pressure - a group annoyed with Star of David Swastika post by Kanye

Child abuse - duh (really irresponsible to fire the folks who keep this stuff off of Twitter, which can also be used for child trafficking, or abuseses against children who then kill themselves, rape and much more)

EU regulations - also duh: https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2022/nov/30/eu-raises-prospect-of-big-fine-or-ban-if-twitter-fails-to-follow-new-legislation

Coordinated misinformation campaigns, eg. against a US president's son - see note about lawyers above - really not that difficult to understand how and why there were attempts to limit the spread of that misinformation

In short: Anyone can request this and can send a legally-binding 'cease and desist' request to anyone, and with enough lawyers, get Twitter to restrict a coordinated misinformation campaign

back channels between Twitter and different feds and influence makers.

A lot of individuals and groups have this access, because it's Twitter and there are thousands of probem posts regularly.

Step 1: ask someone at Twitter to remove something, or dozens of something (this is likely easier for feds than for us)

Step 2: if this doesn't happen, send the cease and desist letter

Step 3: if that doesn't work, sue

Yes, though we're not really discussing a lawsuit against a journalist. News media are occasionally sued for libel, slander, and defamation, but it's rare, ot my knowledge.

We're discussing requests for the removal of libel, slander, and defamation from Twitter. Anyone can request this and can send a legally-binding 'cease and desist' request to anyone.

I wrote, "spreading misinformation and disinformation repeatedly" as well as "lying".

slander, and libel

That's what private individuals, groups and governments try to limit on a regular basis. They have the right try and avoid 'libel, slander and defamation' against their own. it's not difficut to understand. No the government was not limiting free speech, in cases where lies, 'libel, slander and defamation' were obvious.

It may even be criminal to do so.

Not in the least. One can and should actively protect themselves and others from libel, slander and defamation, and can sue those who are guilty of this abuse.

You're the one missing the fact that no one wants misinformation and disinformation spread about associates and will of course try to stop that spread. What we might learn about that information in the future doesn't change the fact that lies about that information in the past should have been challenged at that time, to keep them from spreading. It's that simple.

Yep - a nothingburger in the form of: OMG - wait until you see the Tweets Feds didn't want to be shared!! But there is a market for influence, involving numerous special interests, only one of which is a Democrat team, sometimes called, 'Biden', so that dimwits can think he's somehow mastermind of all of it.

Spreading misinformation and disinformation repeatedly effectively convinces many readers that these lies are true, or that they are not necessarily false. That's why a lot of money was invested in sharing these lies. Did political groups and Feds have a right to try to stop the spread of those lies? When there was no evidence to support those claims as factual, it was legitimate to restrict the spreading of lies, regardless of what we may learn about that information in the future.

One major reason for all of that is the continual reduction of education budgets each year for the past 40 years. The traditional supporters of education have been Dems while those notorious for cutting education funding, as well as - during the Trump era - awarding tax dollars to bible-thumping charter schools - have been the GOP. Now the GOP propaganda is focused destroying educational options, school boards, libraries, state colleges, and other forms of educational support. It's been part of their plans all along to worsen income inequality, which helps in the building of a banana republic. Teachers, schools and other educational options for kids are not to blame for any of this. They aren't the 'gatekeepers', nor could they be, with their level of funding. No matter where kids learn, many of them enjoy learning.

The way school is structured teaches you to always bow to authority and never question it.

No - the opposite - schools are required to teach critical thinking skills (THIS is what authoritarians DON'T want, wheres they do want you to learn to bow to authority) It's also not the purpose of the school. Perhaps you're thinking of military or church schools, but this is NOT public education. Schools help students learn. That's all.

their worst enemies did it before them.

Absolutely not. Funding for education is better under Democrat leadership because this is how you train an educated society. What you are doing is pushing an authoritarian GOP argument that education is dangerous, while also pushing the nonsense that education is dangerous because it's authoritarian. See how confused that is? It's so far from the reality that the only group of voters who will believe this aren't intelligent, knowledgeable, or good at critical thinking, all three of which one can develop AT SCHOOL.

Really? That's your example? Princeton? And: can you teach a BDSM course without the inclusion of BDSM images? This is a HIGHLY unusual university course, but it's offered at one of the best universities. Students for this course will get a better understanding of BDSM than they would gather in any other manner, even if they like BDSM. Professions that would would want students to understand BDSM include: psychiatrist, psychologist, therapist, social worker, etc, etc. My guess is that they also try to assess pathologies in a BDSM course. No, it's not a way to enjoy porn. In short: you've not selected a poor-quality course. You've also selected an extremely poor quality, highly biased resource: https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/the-college-fix Moreover - students who took the course as part of their professional traning knew exactly what they signed up for, and they are NOT the ones your right-wing fascist rag know about.

Makes about as much sense as tits on a turtle. What you learn at school is NOT related to what you do with that information. You and others are politicizing education for the benefit of GOP Nazis. This is new. Learn in school and out of school, but don't act as though the sources you learn from are controlling your mind. How weak is that?

OLD traditions in learning: grammar, logic, rhetoric, math, geometry, music, astronomy, history

None of that is political, with the potential exception of history, and there is no mind control in any of it.

Numerous academics in Nazi Germany were Jewish, and many academics who joined them in concentration camps were not Jewish. It's easy to locate information. Search: academics concentration camps . There were also academics who chose to join the Nazi party. None of these academics (in or out of concentration camps) were 'gatekeepers'.

Authoritarian groups always try to control and/or diminish academic options, because they are the biggest threat to authoritarians. Here is a sample article, albeit not focused on ademics in concentration camps:

2) An easily refutable claim lacks evidence. (Those who say this kind of claim is TRUE are proposing misinformation.)

How do you propose we discuss unknowns then

Merely admit they are unknown.

For example, much of history is literally unknown. Historians often make the mistake to connect evidence and documents in a manner that affirms trajectories of development, rather than admit there are refutable aspects of that self-affirming constructions or narratives. The answer to this was proposed by a science historian - Karl Popper - to focus on the least refutable evidence in one's assessments of potential historical narratives. For those who'd rather not use logical exercises to rank the least refutable evidence above more easily refutable evidence can also use the words: 'allegedly', 'potentially', &c. We can all propose theses for investigation without drawing initial conclusions about those theses.

Read the emails here: https://bidenlaptopemails.com/biden-emails/index.php This is not the same batch shared with the Feds. This group has emails that extend beyond April 2019. Note the last email. That's when this batch was made available online. We should ask: how did those emails become available online? Why were they made availabe? How were they made available? Who can be prosecuted for defamation? Why is there nothing in those emails that is an affirmaiton of any serious national security problems? If there are no significant problems noted in those emails, why share them? What is the point of these hackers who've provided these emails? How easy was it to include emails in this email list, if one wanted to? Merely type an email into the list....
