I hope they both recover from their near fatal injuries.

From the article they were in a different room from where the bullet was, and weren't awakened.

I presume they've been rushed to intensive care by helicopter.

Weren't you posting about how people were evil for not taking attacks on Democrats seriously just a couple of days ago?

Take a serious look at yourself.

Okay.

On one hand an old man had his skull cracked in his own home by a hammer wielding magahat, intent on smashing the kneecaps of his wife.

Headline here: Gay lover has a tiff.

My comment: No, it was an assassination attempt. (Since the entering of pleas to the court we learn it wasn't. It was merely terrorism). That's fair.

His injuries were serious, and the trauma real.

Here we have the parents of a candidate found a bullet hole in their laundry window. It could have been shot anytime in the 2 days prior to when they reported it at 10pm Oct 18, and since the grandkids were staying there that night it's possible, but unlikely that they were there at the time that the gun went off.

Headline here: Two kids almost KILLED. (Caps from the actual headline)

My point: You're over-stating the extent of the injuries. That's also fair
