On one hand an old man had his skull cracked in his own home by a hammer wielding magahat, intent on smashing the kneecaps of his wife.

Headline here: Gay lover has a tiff.

My comment: No, it was an assassination attempt. (Since the entering of pleas to the court we learn it wasn't. It was merely terrorism). That's fair.

His injuries were serious, and the trauma real.


Here we have the parents of a candidate found a bullet hole in their laundry window. It could have been shot anytime in the 2 days prior to when they reported it at 10pm Oct 18, and since the grandkids were staying there that night it's possible, but unlikely that they were there at the time that the gun went off.

My point: You're over-stating the extent of the injuries. That's also fair
