The madman! Twitter implements "Ukraine state-affiliated media" tag. Outstanding. It’s fucking baffling to me that NPR and BBC somehow avoid the state-affiliated media tag. We should be putting it on NYT and CNN and shit like that too, but NPR and BBC are literally state sponsored media.

Amusing to consider that during the '70s and '80s MSM 'nightly news' would occasionally feature pieces depicting Poles, Czechs or E. Germans lined up to get into bare-shelved stores, or making fun of [minor party-official] having to get on a ten-year waiting list for a car or bigger apartment.

They also never failed to label everything from an Eastern-Bloc media bureau as "State-Controlled".
