How the hell is that not a violation of his parole?

If he is even charged with a crime, it is supposed to start an automatic parole revoke, meaning incarceration and no bail/bond for the crime, even if petty.

There's a bodega worker in Manhattan who knows the answer to that question. Unfortunately, his particular solution has led to him having had it with living in NYC, and he's packing to head back to the Dominican Republic. Sad that a man who did what was the only possible thing to keep himself safe feels that he can't enjoy the life that he made for himself here as a result.

The US legal system is a joke.
