a whole armed squad of trained officers against a willowy, mentally ill teenager with a rifle and they couldn't muster the balls to go in and take care of business, while this guy and another woman did. It is an unbelievable show of negligent cowardice and every single one of these worthless people deserve to, at the very least, be terminated from their positions - if not brought up on negligent homicide charges. I mean...children are dying...how could they reconcile not acting?

I suspect they were told to stand down by a higher authority. That's the information they don't want to release.

The absurd inconsistency of the story makes sense if you suspect it's a police training dri11 or some similar event.
They were all hanging around outside like it's no big deal. Cause it wasn't.

The absurdities pile up when they have to make up additional details, after the fact.

Making it into something it wasn't puts gun control back on the agenda a few months before a critical election.
