They aren't elite, but they are powerful. We do need a better world for it. They run the world and are ultimately responsible for the majority of it's problems. They want to deny responsibility and avoid suffering any consequences for their crimes.

I don't know if Hollywood people run the world, but they are definitely the willing tools of those who do.

Power elites is how we call the really sick ones, the ones who start wars and kill millions of people in pursuit of their schemes that they just know will be totally worth the mass human suffering.
