No fucking way that slap was fake. With how heavily masculinity is being censured by hollywood in particular do you really think they'd let a man use violence to boost viewership? Maybe if he heckled him but no way an open handed slap would be orchestrated.

With the Oscars losing relevance by the day? Hell yes it was scripted. Now the Oscars are huge news again, and next year everyone is going to need to tune in or risk missing out.

Note the brilliance: black on black. Nobody has any room to complain.

It was a pro level move, and the Oscars can certainly afford that kind of talent.
