He's not a bad dude, he was doing really well sticking to one-ish account and contributing for a while. Then he does this, which although I personally find occasionally amusing, I understand how it's not appreciated generally.

I suspect it's a major factor in the current low user population. The problem is the more users who go quiet, the greater percentage of the comments the trolls occupy.

It's just one mentally unhinged former addict. Personally I think he's more of a lolcow. I mean, what crazy antics will Skeeter get up to next? I wonder. I think stuff like that gives Saidit its charm, its character. In five years when he's dead we're going to look back and remember these times fondly.

The big complaint I noticed from the last batch of new users is that the site looks dead. s/all needs to be the default browsing option, looking by sub as one would on reddit doesn't work great here.

s/all/comments to go right to the action.

There should be some sort of exit poll to find out exactly why people leave. But I'm noticing the same phenomenon on some other sites too. It's almost like people are leaving the internet.

I figured that's how you found those comments on that 9 month old thread.

What the average person thinks, and what Big Tech wants us to be able to say differ vastly. I assume people are getting banned, cancelled, and having to deal with mobs of hateful social media users, and all of those things drive people away. https://www.badgerandblade.com/forum/forums/ still seems super active for a site about shaving.

Good numbers. Probably helps that it's a 'safe' topic. Interesting that they're contributing to breast cancer instead of testicular cancer.
