Why the fuck is the government funding the arts anyway? It serves no purpose but to drain badly needed money from the people and put it into the pockets of artists that despise them.

Art is complete garbage and the sooner it gets completely defunded, the better. Then maybe art can go back to being a part of our lives, instead of being a hate chorus.

Hah, you wish! It wouldn't be so bad if that was really the case, but it isn't. Where the money actually goes to are snobbish, self-proclaimed "art connoisseurs". A plutocratic clique of professional charlatans who spend their lives writing unnecessarily convoluted essays using words they don't fully understand to describe things no one cares about in a self-maintained cycle of idea laundering.

So yeah, it doesn't look like this is money that is going to "artists", but rather the managerial and lecturing class.
