The Reichstag fire was set by a communist party member. The only dispute among serious historians is whether the perpetrator was a "disturbed" "lone wolf" or a conscious agent of his party who was carrying out a party-sanctioned action, as the NSDAP portrayed it. The only people who claim it was a "false flag" are boomer hippies and communists.

The arson attack did not happen in a vacuum. Communists had twice before attempted to overthrow the German government. The NSDAP were the only ones to respond toe-to-toe to the campaign of street terrorism waged by Bolshevics in the streets and untold atrocities were underway just across the border in Russia where the communists had gotten their way.

As the other 2 comments show, the American Right is completely delusional. Basically all Americans are now worthless morons and will soon get the tyranny they deserved. That is the answer to this well-written article.
