I think in the long run India would be a lot better partner for cheap manufacturing and trade than China would be.

At least in India is a democracy, there's plenty of stuff that makes me uneasy about China. Not the least of them the ideological censorship they impose on western media

On one hand, Indians worship also cows. On the other, I don't think anybody worshiped Obama or GWB.

It's about exposure. Obama was not nearly as much in the news as Donald Trump even here in India. Also, people now have smartphones with internet to keep looking at Trump's tweet wars, something that was absent in Obama's term
