The purpose of laws is not make people do good, the reason for laws is to help the state meet their private prison quotas.

When the US was a free country, killing and theft were illegal.

Now you can be arrested for taking pictures, swearing, smoking, owning a gun, depositing less than $10,000 into your own bank accunt, protesting, feeding the homeless, using a VPN, not buying insurance, sleeping in your car, starting a business, wearing baggy pants, or owning a tiny home.

depositing less than $10,000 into your own bank account

I think you mean $10,000 or more, if it's less than $10,000 the bank isn't obligated to report it.

If you deposit a bit less than 10k, the gov can call it "structuring" and arrest you. You have to do it more than once though. So that they can say you were avoiding going over 10k by making numerous deposits under 10k.

What are you referencing when you said "using a VPN?"

I am getting really tired of this ever expanding government that keeps giving itself greater and greater investigative powers and now seems intent on prosecuting crimes that haven't actually happened.

Wake me up from this nightmare.
