We had 3 bins built with pallets for 'clean' compost (no poop). However, turning them with a pitchfork got to be tough, so we went with sixteen x 43 gallon tumblers(~$100 each). We do grass clipping, shredded cardboard, garden waste, straw from mulching. We also do vermiposting with our kitchen scraps, and make aerated tea from that for special herbs and botanicals. You get nothing the first year, but after that you have all you need.
