I agree that its stupid, but it is the conclusion implied by your comment.

If you think someone showing love for their neighbour by accepting and supporting them is confusing love and sex, you it follows that you think that accepting and supporting your neighbour is sex rather than love.

It is powerfully stupid. But that's what you have brought to the discussion.

Not hateful Christians isn't a new demographic. All the gay and trans hatred in particular is relatively new.

Christ himself appears to have been all about the marginalized.
