Wow! Now, imagine if you will if women were able to do this. Voila! A beautiful and better planet.

There'd be no internet, no electricity, no cars, no roads, no wheel, no fire. Women would be naked, free bleeding, living in caves, eating roots and berries, getting eaten by lions trying to drink from the river cause they ain't got no damn wells and no weapons to protect themselves.

That's not a better world, nudity aside.

[–][deleted] 3 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 2 fun -  (37 children)

LOL! Spoken like a true misogynist.

[–]Canbot 11 insightful - 10 fun11 insightful - 9 fun12 insightful - 10 fun -  (18 children)

You are both misogynist. The very claim that if women were in charge things would be better is based on nothing more than a sexist claim that women are better.

[–][deleted] 3 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 2 fun -  (16 children)

Women are better. That you do not understand the meaning of misogynist suggests you cannot comprehend the initial thought of the thread. Perhaps you should search for something more meaningful on terra firma???

[–]Canbot 12 insightful - 10 fun12 insightful - 9 fun13 insightful - 10 fun -  (14 children)

Mysandry then, it is the same thing. Why do you make comments like "that's misogyny" as if it is itself an argument against something; as if it is inherently wrong, when your are a mysandrist yourself? Do you not see the irony.

All the evidence strongly indicates that women on their own could not survive, let alone thrive. A woman on her own is proud of being a "strong independent woman". Her greatest achievement is to survive in a fully developed modern society where she can pay men to do all the things she can't do herself. Women aspire to reach that level of female greatness. A man who lives like that is a loser. A man who does not take up the responsibility to take care of and raise a family is literally less than what is the basic expectation from men. It is not enough that he is "independent" and can literally do all of the basic home and auto repair, travel the world, sculpt his body, etc. That stuff is not even the extent of what is expected of men and it is already exceeding the greatest aspiration of women.

Everyone just accepts this, and that is why the go to insult against men is "your single". While at the same time being a compliment for women.

[–][deleted] 3 insightful - 3 fun3 insightful - 2 fun4 insightful - 3 fun -  (13 children)

Misogyny is inherently wrong. Misandry? A little. Women can achieve far more than men give her credit. Why should we accept the role of men in society when there have been many matriarchy cultures throughout history? I don't need a man to do basic home and auto repair - nor do I need a sculpted man in my bed. Perhaps you are stereotyping based on your own needs. Many existing Western and Eastern cultures are premised on male deities that have subjugated women to subservient status - they are simply breeding vessels - not unlike the forced birther laws being enacted in many US states. That, by definition, is misogyny. My grandmother was born just before women were given right to vote - why did it take nearly 130 years before the 19th Amendment was passed giving women that right? Men have led by subjugation of women. So, my premise is that it is better being single than being maidservant to a man who looks upon a women as chattel.

Misogyny is inherently wrong. Misandry? A little.

They are literally the same thing.

[–][deleted] 3 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 2 fun -  (1 child)

LOL. Uh huh.

[–]Canbot 10 insightful - 10 fun10 insightful - 9 fun11 insightful - 10 fun -  (0 children)

They are both sexist points of view that ignore facts. They are equally wrong.

[–]Canbot 10 insightful - 10 fun10 insightful - 9 fun11 insightful - 10 fun -  (2 children)

Women can achieve far more than men give her credit.

Source?

I can, in theory, invent teleportation. Is it wrong for anyone to doubt that I can? Should I receive a blank check from the government to do that because it will revolutionize the world?

Doubt in your abilities is part of being human. Men are also faced with people not believing they can do things that they can. The answer to that is not to demand people have more faith in your abilities, because a lot of the time you really can't do the things you fully believe you can. No one should be forced to have an opinion that way. That is fascism. Wokeness is fascism.

[–][deleted] 3 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 2 fun -  (1 child)

LOL! Uh huh. Equating woke with fascism rates along the lines of white boys being black. Ciao, honeycakes. You are the equivalent of an AI chatbot.

[–]Canbot 10 insightful - 10 fun10 insightful - 9 fun11 insightful - 10 fun -  (0 children)

Not an argument. Typical low IQ name calling followed by a quick exit because you got offended but are wrong.

Fascism is the top down enforcement of policy. Forcing people to accept certain beliefs is a top down enforcement of policy. Therefore it is fascistic.

[–]Canbot 10 insightful - 10 fun10 insightful - 9 fun11 insightful - 10 fun -  (0 children)

I don't need a man to do basic home and auto repair

But you are proud of that like it is an achievement. Why? That is expected of all men, even losers.

At the risk of going off on a tangent, the claim itself is pretty meaningless because some people will tape up a fallen light fixture with duct tape and call that a home repair. The spectrum in the quality and complexity of maintenance that people do is insanely wide, yet they all claim they can do repairs.

Men are biologically programmed to be curious about systems and that means that they go through their entire life analyzing how things work. That make them better at fixing things. Far more men will completely tear apart an appliance like a washer to save money on repairs than women.

The only reason you deny that fact is because you think that is an argument about the value of men and women and it sends your ego into defense mode.

[–]Canbot 10 insightful - 10 fun10 insightful - 9 fun11 insightful - 10 fun -  (0 children)

Why should we accept the role of men in society when there have been many matriarchy cultures throughout history?

Because those cultures are extinct for a reason.

[–]Canbot 10 insightful - 10 fun10 insightful - 9 fun11 insightful - 10 fun -  (0 children)

Western society is not premised on dieties. Frankly it is women who gravitate towards religious dogmas and spirituality. Western society is built on function. At lest until recently when everything started getting subverted. Gender roles are pragmatic and they work. People with separate roles working together are far more productive and happy. They are not fighting for dominance, stepping on each other's toes, trying to master twice as many roles because they both need to do everything because neither will handle anything on their own. It is worse than being on your own. A partnership with separate roles is far better.

[–]Canbot 10 insightful - 9 fun10 insightful - 8 fun11 insightful - 9 fun -  (0 children)

That, by definition, is misogyny.

If a man were to kick a pregnant woman in the stomach and kill the baby that man is guilty of murder too, so anti abortion laws are literally the opposite of sexism. That is equality. The problem is that as a woman with female privilege equality feels like oppression to you.

[–]Canbot 10 insightful - 9 fun10 insightful - 8 fun11 insightful - 9 fun -  (0 children)

why did it take nearly 130 years before the 19th Amendment was passed giving women that right

Because voting used to be a responsibility not a privilege. It was the mans responsibility to be educated and informed and vote for his family. It was never an oppression, that is an ignorant political spin used to push far left propaganda.

[–]Canbot 10 insightful - 9 fun10 insightful - 8 fun11 insightful - 9 fun -  (0 children)

So, my premise is that it is better being single than being maidservant to a man who looks upon a women as chattel.

By every non subjective metric single women are worse off. You fully know that which is why you had to add all that bullshit about bing chattel to your statement.

[–]Canbot 9 insightful - 10 fun9 insightful - 9 fun10 insightful - 10 fun -  (0 children)

not unlike the forced birther laws

Infanticide is murder. No one is forcing anyone to get pregnant.

Pointing out some of the many, many things created by men that you take for granted is not misogyny.

I dare you to go one day without using anything invented or built by men. One single day.

[–][deleted] 3 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 2 fun -  (16 children)

Oh my. You went down the rabbit hole. Sweetie, first of all, if you are a male, well, I challenge you to carry a fetus to term. And mind you, sperm are readily available at any bank in many countries so a woman doesn't have to suffer through inexperienced men who have no comprehension of how the female genitalia actually function. So, my initial thought on the matter remains true - how wonderful it would be if women could actually do what this female stingray achieved. And a second point, you should do a little internet search before posting such rubbish. For example: https://interestingengineering.com/innovation/female-inventors-and-their-inventions-that-changed-the-world-and-impacted-the-history-in-a-revolutionary-way

[–]Musky 9 insightful - 6 fun9 insightful - 5 fun10 insightful - 6 fun -  (13 children)

1) I am not your sweetie. I don't refer to you as baby, doll, or sugar tits, and you can show the same consideration.

2) I am not disparaging women, I am not the one saying the world would be better off without your gender. Men can't do what women do, but similarly, women can't do what men do.

3) Not only does the sperm at sperm banks still come from men, but you don't know what you're getting when you're impregnating yourself with a turkey baster. We have evolved for millions of years to find compatible mates and I seriously doubt you're improving upon that getting sperm from some incel who needs cash.

4) Fatherless children don't turn out as well, you need look no further than the black community for proof of that one.

5) If a man can't get you off, try giving him some tips, maybe lay off the vibrator.

So, my initial thought on the matter remains true - how wonderful it would be if women could actually do what this female stingray achieved

You're just imagining a world without all the bad stuff men bring to it. You also have to imagine the world without all the good stuff men contribute. We aren't wild animals.

And a second point, you should do a little internet search before posting such rubbish. For example

You'd really have to dig into the validity of a lot of those. The first one is about a comet, pretty sure comets don't impact your life one way or another. The second one is about an aquarium, and she got the idea from a man.

"Direct inspiration for the aquarium as a regulated environment came from the sealed growing containers devised by amateur botanist Dr. Nathaniel Bagshaw Ward, which had first been used to transport plants across what was the British Empire"

Oh come on, Musky. You've met your match. Arkose makes excellent points, sweetie.

[–]Musky 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (10 children)

She's smarter than you, that's for sure, but she's no Jet.

[–]Bitch-Im-a-cow 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (8 children)

Jet's a jerk because she lacks social skills and is lonely. Not smart. Arkose has walked into a retarded fascist minefield and seems to be either unaware of it or not yet bothered. Not exactly MENSA. The abuse will drive a "smart" person away. We'll see. Your misogynist approaches to women are always worrying, sugar tits. And the only one studying intelligence here is Edward. None of us on Saidit know the difference between shit and Shinola, to use a phrase from before you were born, kiddo.

[–]Musky 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (7 children)

You're threatened by Jet's superior intellect. You're so far beneath her she must seem like a vengeful goddess to you. I understand.

to coin a phrase from before you were born, kiddo.

Before you were born too, grandpa.

[–]binaryblob 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Artificial wombs will exists in the next 50-100 years. Also, no woman had to accomplish anything to do that; it's a natural ability.

None of the inventions listed is hard in the way that Von Neumann of Maxwell made contributions.

[–][deleted] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

LOL! Yes, marginalize the contributions of women. It is the manly thing to do; women are supposed to be subservient to their husband, not unlike black people to their white masters.

[–]Bitch-Im-a-cow 4 insightful - 2 fun4 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

Indeed!

Imagine if your post or reply had anything to do with the environment.

[–][deleted] 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (4 children)

How are women or stingray reproduction not part of the environment???

[–]Questionable 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun -  (3 children)

Agh. I see. So your logic is, that it exists in the environment, therefore it is on topic.

Lets see, either English is not your first language, your I.Q is under 70, or you have a penis.

Possibly all three.

[–][deleted] 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

Yes, my IQ might be suspect to someone who cannot comprehend how a woman is part of the environment. WE are all part of the environment, limiting this thread topic to organisms that have no voice is, well, not very diplomatic or inclusive, wouldn't you say? Ignoring HUMANS' interactions WITH the environment, well, then it's all just mental masturbation - and not a very satisfactory experience.
