I don't need a man to do basic home and auto repair
But you are proud of that like it is an achievement. Why? That is expected of all men, even losers.
At the risk of going off on a tangent, the claim itself is pretty meaningless because some people will tape up a fallen light fixture with duct tape and call that a home repair. The spectrum in the quality and complexity of maintenance that people do is insanely wide, yet they all claim they can do repairs.
Men are biologically programmed to be curious about systems and that means that they go through their entire life analyzing how things work. That make them better at fixing things. Far more men will completely tear apart an appliance like a washer to save money on repairs than women.
The only reason you deny that fact is because you think that is an argument about the value of men and women and it sends your ego into defense mode.
