I'm persistently amused by this apparent belief that the people calling for the overthrow would end up in a position where they would just cruise through the resulting chaos unaffected or unharmed.

I can't imagine that in a world ripping itself apart in chaos to form a new order people such as autistic rich women who look 12 would be experiencing the same level of care and tolerance they do right now.

I agree with you. In an overthrow of our current society the worst of human nature will reassert itself.

People in the west these days can barely live without power for 2 days... I cant imagine how they would survive without rule of law...

A huge failing in the 'tear-it-down' bunch's thinking is what really goes on in failed states after it's been "torn down".

People on the ground quickly learn that empathy, altrusim and compassion are luxury goods, acquired during conditions of comfort and peace.

In places and times where the definition of "normal life" changes at every coup or 'color revolution', more direct and emphatic methods are used to maintain what passes for "order", especially among those who may have been directly preyed upon themselves. Those denizens rarely observe the niceties of 'civilized jurisprudence'.

Our whole love of victimhood and imagining the disabled as superheroes is all a mark of the decadence of our society.

These are luxuries but some people really buy them as reality. I even see some physically disabled people seriously saying their only problems are born from how other people react to their disability. No, the only reason you have such few problems is because the whole of society has chosen to support you as they are mostly good people with time and money to spare.

Rich people will be some of the first casualties of a SHTF scenario. Their staff will kill them and take their shit.
