So yeah, we know they use "divide and conquer" quite effectively, and have done so for thousands of years. But what precisely do we do to fight it? Group hugs with the pigs clubbing and summarily executing us?

There is no easy answer to that question. Revolutions bring bloodshed and in some cases, civil war. Activism will most likely get you filed and targeted by a police force who's main objective is social repression, meeting ticketing quotas and protecting private assets. Ideally, it would be stopping the gears of capitalism to a grind by means of a general strike although arranging that and getting a lot of people from the working class on the same page would be quite challenging. People these days are either oblivious to what is going on around them or scared to change anything about their lives because they think there is no other alternative. Anyway, that's my take on it and I could be wrong but that's how I'm seeing it right now. TLDR: Production of necessities and commodities and the administering of, should be put in the hands of the working class; some sort of Anarcho-Syndicalism if you will.

So you're a commie then? We all know how well the USSR turned out...

I wonder how differently the USSR would have fared if nearly the entire world had not tried to destroy them from the moment they came to be? If capitalism has nothing to worry about from such a "laughable" system as communism, why are they so terrified of it?

I believe Capitalism and Communism are both viable economic systems as long as there is a solid system of checks and balances in place. But no system is immune to corruption and greed.
