I skip along the timeline some mainly focusing on Hunter's role only.

Hunter, Joe, and Jonathan Li, (BHR’s future CEO), had met for coffee in Beijing during Joe Biden’s official trip in 2013, days before BHR was formed.

After many meetings the investment fund named Bohai Harvest RST (BHR) was created by the Bank of China and through the newly-formed LLC, Rosemont Seneca Thornton owned by Hunter, Chris Heinz, James Bulger, Devon Archer, and Michael Lin, and would own 30 percent of the Chinese-based company. Hunter Biden on the board of directors and Devon Archer as the vice chairman and Investment Committee member of BHR which was later after registered with the communist government raised about $1.7 billion for them play with.

In September, 2015, the BHR Partners investment firm, which counted Hunter Biden as a board member and 10% stakeholder at the time, worked with Aviation Industry Corp of China (AVIC), the state-owned entity that produces fighter jets for the Chinese military.a subsidiary of the Chinese state-owned Aviation Industry Corporation of China, or AVIC — to purchase Henniges Automotive, a Michigan company whose anti-vibration (stealth) technology is used on the F-35 (stealth) fighter.

According to the Washington Examiner, the Chinese military group AVIC could potentially be the world's largest defense company; and prior to Hunter Biden's arrival on BHR board, multiple AVIC subsidiaries have been sanctioned by the United States government.

For the 2015 transaction a wholly-owned subsidiary of AVIC, AVIC Auto, partnered with BHR to acquire Henniges, with AVIC Auto owning 51 percent and BHR owning 49 percent – meaning that the Chinese government-owned military manufacturer ended up with a controlling interest in Henniges.

The Chinese government and military have attempted for decades to catch up to the aforementioned US military superiority, by any means necessary. At the time of the sale, U.S. government officials – and the public, through Edward Snowden – were aware that China had hacked “terabytes” of data, including F-35 technology, and made use of it in their J-20 fighter. By acquiring Henniges and their anti-vibration technology, AVIC could put that technology directly to use in the Chinese military jets.

Heinz left the partnership when Hunter and Archer joined the Burisma board, but Hunter still owns 10 percent of BHR through his investment firm, Skaneateles LLC. His share is conservatively valued at $50 million, according to the report.

BHR is a “Russian Nesting Doll” scheme – that is, a venture capital firm, inside a venture capital firm, inside a venture capital firm, and so on, in an effort to shield potential investors and regulatory bodies from their ability to examine the dealings of the VC firm.

addition I noticed that without research the title may leave you wondering. The J/FC-31 fighter jet's timeline is right in line with the actual acquirement of the tech, (incorporation, tooling, and design time), and manufacture of their newest jet. Which the J-31 is the China military version and the FC-31 is the name for the version they plan to sell to other nations.
