Because this was the first major school shooting of an outsider. They weren't willing to sacrifice children yet.

They learned from this incident that it's best to do just what you mention because they got called on the hoax. That's how you end up with Parkland and Uvalde.

Nah, those were real shootings by someone who was programmed using MK-Ultra. I also forgot about the night club in Orlando, that too was an MK Ultra job.
