All truth is like mathematical truth

Truth simply means that’s the way reality is. Reality doesn’t care that about opinions or preferences. Reality doesn’t care if you believe it. Neither does reality care if you can verify it. Either the thought conforms to reality, and is hence true, or it doesn’t, and is hence false.

2 + 2 = 4, even if people in a locality never learned arithmetic in school. If they say 2 + 2 = 5, reality doesn’t magically morph so it’s true.

Why is the concept of truth so controversial?

2+2=4 is the mathematical equivalent of male ≠ female.

Power and money will describe whatever they choose to describe in order to hold on. Their description can be 180º from what is true, but if it provides the powerful with more, they are okay with that. It is unsustainable, yes, but the short-term gain for the powerful is worth it in their minds. With the technologies they command at this point, the amount of chaos they create with this kind of insanity has grown exponentially. Western civilization may not survive this particular iteration of the madness of the ruling class.

Because human experiences and perception of "reality" are highly subjective.

We are limited and individual beings in perception, mental capabilities and especially beliefs.

There is no objectivity. That is my personal "secret" ingredient.

Everything "relevant" in life is just as easy to get as this is.

But the easiest things are very often the hardest ones to actually (either radically or not) accept and implement into one's behavior.
