The Templars are purported to have uncovered ancient secrets about geometry from the Middle East. Pi is an important constant on which the dimensions used in ancient buildings are based. Then, in a great act of courage, this De Molay guy defends that same order which is supposed to protect these secrets, completely defying the torture with which he's being threatened. And the date happens to be 3/14/1314, with pi appearing twice. How amazing is that.

Uh. So what's the secret about pi? This is so dumb. How does one "uncover" secrets of geometry like the ratio between circumference and diameter? How did the ancients "cover" up that ratio? What on earth, in your mind, is the secret here? It's a shape. Anyone can draw or look at a shape and come to the same realisation. You cannot make properties of shapes a secret. This is so dumb
