And we'll be left with the libertarian dream. Resources will already be consolidated as densely into the hands of a small minority as possible, with most services and goods already monopolized. But with the well-studied ability to predict and manipulate people thanks to decades of datamining and research coupled with already-existing mass surveillance (both government and corporate), it'll be easy to keep people distracted and consuming 24/7, all custom-tailored for each individual.

How exactly is that a "libertarian" dream? If you're talking about right-libertarians, this sounds like the opposite of a competitive, healthy economy. For left-libertarians, this is a jackboot nightmare.

The phrase 'libertarian dream' was meant tongue in cheek, but I suppose an essay like this isn't the right place for sarcasm. What we'll be left with is anarcho-capitalism and yes, it's going to be a nightmare
