Liberalism is being expelled from its former strongholds, and the hegemony of liberal ideas, as we have known it since the 1960s, will end. That is not an actual refutation of the fact that this article is erroneously referring to neoliberalism as marxism and ignoring what marxism actually is

I guess the 'pyramid of debate' is just a vague suggestion if semantics are treated with such low regard on this site

These 'leftists' you're referring to aren't Marxists. It's fallacious to start referring to Neoliberalism as Marxism just because the US political spectrum stops just at the left of the center. Idpol loving SJWs don't stop being neolibs just because they call themselves communists and spam ACAB. Classical marxists still exist, even if their numbers are insignificant, and even if there weren't the definition of Marxism would still remain the same

You want to critique the US 'left', please do, it's a dumpster fire, but call it what it actually is

This article conflates Marxism with identity politics when identity politics is antithetical to Marxism. Marxism plainly asserts that race/sex divides are used by the ruling class as a distraction to keep the working class fighting among themselves and punching sideways instead of uniting and punching up. Woke culture is a product of neoliberal capitalism. And like all products of capitalism, its novelties were amplified to hit maximum gains before it inevitably became a parody of itself and started to collapse

All primates have front facing eyes. If you want to bring evolution into the diet argument, the vast majority of apes subsist mostly on fruit and supplement small amounts of other food in an omnivorous fashion. The level of meat humans consume is considered exceptional within that group. Our closest relatives are chimpanzees and a tiny fraction (2-5%) of their diet is comprised of meat and that includes insects

Gorillas have bigger canines than humans and have a physique that allows them to rip other animals in half like a sheet of paper. They're herbivores

The phrase 'libertarian dream' was meant tongue in cheek, but I suppose an essay like this isn't the right place for sarcasm. What we'll be left with is anarcho-capitalism and yes, it's going to be a nightmare

Idea regarding removal of women's bathrooms in favor of unisex/men's by ghostprototype in GenderCritical

That'll be dependent on the majority men, whether the presence of women in their bathroom is offputting enough to them to complain or if they just won't care

I think the former is more likely. It's easy to underestimate how much men value and rely on their own safe spaces

It would be helpful just to have people active on social media, actively pushing back against pro-trans rhetoric. We don't have to use our real identities, it's easy enough to make anonymous accounts

Sites like twitter are studied as a metric for gauging public opinion, and the TRAs have the benefit of having a lot of pornsick teenagers, NEETs, and neoliberals with tons of time on their hands making a lot of noise. GC feminists have very little presence by comparison

Twitter has a decent GC population. Reddit seems like a lost cause but I'd love to find a way to get back in there

to be fair, there's a huge difference between female genital mutilation and circumcision

the equivalent of circumcision on a female would be trimming the skin at the tip of the clitoris and maybe the labia. Instead they remove the clitoris and labia altogether. That's the equivalent of cutting off the entire head of the penis but leaving the rest of the shaft intact (if such a thing were possible)

FGM also leads to lifelong complications and pain and usually doesn't allow for regular sex without surgical 'reopening'. Then sex is its own nightmarish painful physical trauma since the new opening is much smaller after healing

Abstract: Giftedness is characterized by high intellectual capabilities and ambitions, unconventional thinking, and a drive to learn and be creative. We argue that gifted women face specific obstacles that, for many, have precluded their ability to develop their gifts, hindered their educational development and career, and made them feel frustrated and unfulfilled. We analyse testimonies of gifted women that we collected from across the globe to provide concrete evidence of these hurdles, thereby highlighting their struggles, while noting in particular their experiences of shame, guilt, fear and self-doubt. A full understanding of these issues requires a deconstruction of the symbolic paradigm that underpins the social system we live in. As gifted women are by nature drawn to creative, independent, intellectual pursuits, they deviate from the norms imposed by the social system. The resulting negative reactions frequently lead them to believe there is something intrinsically wrong with them. This produces the painful emotion of shame, which potently suppresses self-actualization.

I don't know if making this into a group activity or an occupy thing is a good way to go. It's very confrontational, and it's not like TRAs are actively occupying women's rooms to intentionally make us uncomfortable. It might look like a disproportionate response

Plus the reward vs. resources spent in a scenario like that doesn't seem worth it. Men's rooms are disgusting, I don't know if I want to encourage my fellow feminists to hang out in one any longer than necessary
