Stop thinking in terms of "events" and start looking at "processes", and you realize that something big is here with us as we speak. All the things you list in your first paragraph are it. This is a big thing. We are living it. This is for real. It's up to each of us to figure out how to navigate it. Using the old saying "the trend is your friend", it is likely to continue to get rapidly worse for the foreseeable future. Prepare as best you can, and build serious flexibility into whatever preparations you make. Predicting these kinds of environments is close to impossible.

I somehow feel the same way. Like something big is definitely coming, I just don't know what it is yet. But it will definitely be big.

There's a lot of space for things to potentially happen, but that doesn't mean anything necessarily will. I think as long as most people have a reasonable quality of life, there will be no mass war or mass protests. Which means it all basically depends on the stock market. And the federal reserve keeps giving the banks money to give to the companies to buy their own stocks, which keeps the market going up. Who knows how long this can continue. If you see the stock market crash more than 20% then I think be ready for a repeat of 2008, including a repeat of occupy wall street.

The US has unprecedented problems right now but were not the only ones. China is in crisis mode too, they're still dealing with covid, major protests over the Hong Kong takeover, food shortages, massive floods throughout most of the country and their biggest damn may be on the verge of collapse, and there is major worldwide pressure to move manufacturing out of the country. If their economy collapses the only card they have left to play is war with the US, there won't be any other way for them to maintain control over their people. Never in history have 2 nuclear super powers been on the verge of collapse at the same time. We're living in perilous times, there's no telling what will happen over the next few months.

That's a particularly interesting thought, I hadn't considered it in that light before.

At this point, I don't know what to expect so buckle-in. If you don't own a firearm, I would consider picking one up.

Lots of people seem to be doing this. The gun stores I shop can't keep anything in stock right now. It's been like this for months.
