No

Because she's just a spoilt socialite who's never been able to hold down a job in her life.

She was in a safe country but chose to leave because she's never had to do anything she didn't want to in her life before, so now she's in jail due to pure stupidity.

She spent years personally phoning up the victims and threatening them. All that needed to happen would be for one of the victims to record those calls and she would have been done for. She is very lucky that didn't happen. She didn't survive on her wits, she fell upwards.

She was Epstein's madame and plenty of eye-witnesses/victims have stated that it was her job to procure the girls. Wexner was also instrumental for this purpose. She also procured most of the contacts to get various world leaders to socialize and interact with Epstein who was otherwise fairly unknown compared to Ghislaine Maxwell until the 90s. Connections like with Ehud Barak were definitely procured by Maxwell.

Otherwise, I obviously don't disagree that both individuals were stunningly sloppy and arrogant about their whole operation. Ghislaine did plenty of legwork for her father and managed smaller ventures but you are otherwise correct that she was a mostly inept spoiled socialite. The thing is, she was fearless. She succeeded at many things because she never took any barriers seriously hence why she stayed in the continental United States after Epstein was murdered; she blindly assumed that she was invincible. Facilitating this was her upbringing, compromising material she had on world leaders, and her powerful connections.

I can only speculate here. That's not something that is blatantly stated, the best I can offer is circumstantial evidence.

I'm not disputing that side of it.

But she's nasty, not clever.

She's Rose West to Epstein's Fred, neither of those were smart either but they still got away with it for decades.

He's actually correct. Many of the rich and powerful felt safe around her because she would just take them to a fashion show or underwear shopping and they would all get cocktails later in the evening. Nothing that she did really indicated that she was deliberate and thoughtful; what set her apart was the same thing that set her father apart- pure ruthlessness and fearlessness.

You can kind of see this with her "leak" of her at a restaurant reading a book on CIA killings. It was a stupid ploy that everyone saw through immediately. Not exactly a mark of a calculating genius. I'm sure someone told her that it was a dumb idea but she didn't give a fuck; she's Ghislaine Maxwell and she's infallible and invincible.
