Yes, I have been screaming high and low how we were headed for a Great Depression, a good long while before Covid-19 showed up. I have posts to that effect on r/wallstreetbets that date from September 2019.

In my mind, it's not so much that the covid-19 is being used to cover what's actually happening, but that the covid-19 has been ENGINEERED to be used to cover what's actually happening.

FEMA camp anybody?

It goes back further. It should have happened as Thom Hartman wrote about, in "The Crash Of 2016" except the new Presidential Plunge Protection Team rigged the entire market.

The goal is to inform anyone reading that we were long overdue for a crash, typically 4-7 years under capitalism, always saved/bailed out by socialism. From the DotBomb to 2008 was already long and thus the hard crash, but now is beyond absurdist, including the reaction to the virus.

It remains to be seen what totalitarian monster global hybrid merger of capitalism and communism rises out of the ashes as it's abundantly clear that the old measures no longer apply, especially with the Plunge Protection Team rigging the markets. It's anyone's guess, except for the ruling class in the know, how they will restructure it all.

That was not my intention. At all. I supplemented your information, twice now. Not just for you but anyone reading.

I don't need to play status games. I'm here for information, to learn and teach and share. I applaud good information and criticize bad information and everything in between. I didn't say you were wrong, I expanded the scope. And even if I did say you were wrong, I might be wrong about that, and we can discuss it, bring citations, etc. Being wrong doesn't mean you're a bad person, and it doesn't mean I'm trying to outperform you, or whatev.
