That vision video channel made it and they might not want kids to watch it because even tho it's probably ok for them they'd still want it to be up to parents whether they watch it or not. They're a Christian company.

Edit: I assume the restriction is imposed by YouTube, but I don't know that for a fact. The link on the video page says:

YouTube has always had a set of Community Guidelines that outline what type of content isn’t allowed on YouTube.

Here is the movie trailer, which does play without logging in:

It looks like it could be a good movie.

I haven't seen it. I see it's based on a true story and the guy really died of leukemia . Maybe they actually show that in the movie? I can see how that might be bad for little kids.

If that's bad for kids, maybe they should be isolated in a bubble so they never hear or see anything that happens in the real world. But how could knowing the truth be bad?

There is another video where the uploader requested it be age-restricted, but the restriction is not stated the same way for the movie Until Forever (2016).

I think it's subjective and again it's good to leave up to parents. It'd be bad if it's just censored for having a Christian message. But then wouldn't this vision film studio complain, and wouldn't the other movies they have on their YouTube channel also get similarly censored? I could be wrong of course cuz I have not seen this movie so I don't know why for sure it's age restricted.

Kids brains are undeveloped and sometimes they have a hard time processing things and that can cause trauma. They can watch the movie when they are older and capable of understanding it.

Have you watched the movie?

Since children are shut out from watching this Christian movie on YouTube, what shall they do? Oftentimes parents set them loose on a game console so they can play a first-person-shooter. YouTube allows them to watch gameplay of the same without any age-restriction.

No one is shut out, they just click the button that says they are old enough. The kids who don't watch it because of the warning have parents who care enough to teach them to be good and give them better things to do. This protects those who want it and does not really restrict those who don't.

they just click the button

How does that work? How could a 17-year-old click a button to watch a YouTube video if they require he be at least 18?

You ignored the graphic and violent gameplay that YouTube has no age-restrictions on.... Is it right that YouTube will not protect little children from seeing the realistic depiction of senseless killing, but they block them from watching a Christian movie?

Video games are not realistic and children don't have a hard time understanding that it is not real. Movies are different.

I disagree. Game video rendering and the accompanying audio appears very real. Even more.... many games are now in VR with head-sets for a totally immersive experience. Children that have not yet learned good moral lessons are exposed to violence as if it is "normal".

It's like drag-queen story hour at the library for the purpose of exposing children to confusion... They grow up not realizing it is not healthy for men to dress up like whores. I wouldn't be surprised if YouTube shows that without age-restrictions.... Yep, I just checked. YouTube allows that content to played. But this Christian movie.... no.

I agree that other things should be age restricted that are not. I agree the YouTube has a nefarious anti Christian agenda. But that alone is not proof that this particular film should not have an age restriction. If there is adult content, like suicide, then the restriction is proper. That other things that should be restricted are not does not change anything.

You do recognize the poor judgment of YouTube for allowing some things while blocking others. Like I said earlier, I have not watched this movie so I cannot defend YouTube's decision to block it. I did watch the movie trailer and see it is based on a true story of a young man with cancer. Children get cancer, too. This is a topic that can and does affect them personally.

When I see YouTube block certain videos, but not others, I see their bias. They also blocked videos I uploaded, so I personally witnessed how they work to hide certain information from the public. They also work to keep us distracted with mindless entertainment. I would like for all people to wake up and see how the worldly rulers steer human consciousness. The world is like The Matrix. Those that wake up realize we were deceived. We were born into slavery, but most celebrate their "freedom". The Matrix has them completely deceived.
