is that about the idea that the Laurel Canyon scene was largely created and promoted by "deep state" type actors to create an alternative to the pop culture that they couldn't so easily control? I remember Joni Mitchell say she was never against the war, her issue was the environment-- very woke, ahead of her time really. A lot of them were Canadian too, but not cool-Canadian like Terrance and Phillip
