Facebook is for people who like being lied to.

The reason the parable of the prodigal son describes the younger son running off and squandering his inheritance on prostitutes is not because he was necessarily paying for sex the whole time non-stop but because the world he ran off to is just as disingenuous and false in every way just as the /lovin'/affection/satisfaction from a prostitute is. It was all liars lying to each other, scammers taking advantage of each other, and everyone playing each other for a fool.

People OK with censoring information get what they deserve, someone else handling the discernment they themselves are supposed to be doing. Pretending they are handling it for anything other than their own purposes, the scam they are running playing everyone else for the fool, doesn't really absolve anyone of the responsibility to discern things for themselves. The military says you can delegate authority but not responsibility. People staying on facebook or twitter or reddit after all this really deserve what it gets them.
