This is very helpful, thank you. It has baffled me that conservative friends who see my political positions as sin and infanticide are more willing to hear me out than liberal friends who think I am, at most, guilty of hurting someone’s feelings.

The liberals think you are literally killing people by denying their identities though. Even though you arent.

Well some times they mean literally literally, like when they really believe there's a epidemic of trans killings when actually they are the safest group, but some time they are actually talking about the narcissistic collapse they have when someone questions their world view. Their nice/woke/queer persona can disappear in an instance if questioned (because there's nothing real to hold it up) which feels like a death to them.
