Here in Québec a few years back, the PM said, "You can feed a whole family on $50 a week."

Next day in the paper there was a cartoon showing a mother with kids in tow, asking the PM "Where is that grocery store where I can feed my family for $50 a week?" Showing how ludicrous and out of touch his statement was.

Because of my illnesses, we have to eat organic, and going with relatively economical choices, we are usually able to stay under $2,000 a month for food. Just.

Oh, and this should be illegal. He can spend HIS money however he wishes, but keep us out of it, thief.

They say the average Canadian lives on $500/month for food.
I'm scraping by on less than $300.
And today at the grocery store was mighty grim.
Looks like my cat might be on the menu soon.
