I feel Israel is losing a lot of support over this. I agree they need to deal with Hamas but killing some 8000+ people in Gaza is not the solution. I'm pretty sure the vast majority of the 8000 people did not participate in the October attack.

What Hamas did was horrible but that doesn't give Israel the right to blindly take revenge. By pushing this course Israel risks losing the support of the west. If they do lose that support I don't believe Israel would last very long.

      I think if I was leading Israel I would probably do the same thing too. But that wont change the mind of a lot of people. A lot see this as a war crime. We banned bombing civilians after world war 2.

      I wish I had a simple answer for you. A lot of people wish there was a simple solution to this...

      I could purpose a mass army going door to door starting the the north and working south but that would be very dangerous and your looking at a lot of losses for the IDF. So probably not a good plan.

      To be honest I don't have a good plan. Maybe Israel is doing the best solution by bombing them back to the stone age. Make it hurt so much no one would dare try this again (Well for a generation or two at least. Until the memories fade.)

      It's a pretty strong argument that you can't defeat an insurrection when they have the support of the people. I don't know if the actions of Israel with break the people and have them turn on Hamas or just martyr them and create the next generation. Time will tell.
