That article doesn't mean anything to me. It's like saying you called the cops and CSI didn't show up and figure out whodunit like in the TV show. Yeah, our air defense isn't like what you see in the movies. Everyone isn't on board, have the same info, and we don't have a constant CAP to prevent attacks from cylon raiders.

It makes more sense if you think of it as a bloated and inefficient bureaucracy who has so few serious domestic threats they weren't expecting the Saudis to attack us that day.

edit: if you want a real conspiracy theory, follow the money. Who ended up with trillions of dollars for killing 4k Americans. I don't know it is a conspiracy but if there is one, you need to look at who benefited.
