This explosion is exceedingly close in appearance to the thermobaric explosives that Israel have used in Syria and Yemen. I would be very interested in seeing uber-slow mo of the point of explosion. The footage I saw earlier today of a bomb in Syria had what appeared to be a beam of light that immediately preceded the ginormous explosion. Huge shell of a shock wave that then left a internal dark smoke plume. Makes me wonder if all the kinetic weaponry that is rumoured to be in "orbit" is now being used in a more public/open setting.
