I'm no fan of Communism, but oppressive censorship and cronyism is not the way to combat it.

There's big difference between censorship and banning foreign investment.
Also, isn't cronyism just a word libertarians use to describe any time the government does anything?

Banning an app or website for private citizens is censorship. Something China does regularly, but not something a free society should be engaging in.
Cronyism in a political context is generally buying and selling favors, regardless of qualifications. Us libertarians tend to use it a lot, because it describes the current state of capitalism in America.

It's censorship when you ban it to prevent the flow of information. The reason the US is banning TikTok is not to censor the users of the app (have you even seen anything remotely intelligent on TikTok?), but rather to strengthen national security, as China is using the app to collect data about US citizens and feed them Communist propaganda. Banning TikTok (and other Chinese apps) will push people towards other platforms where they can more easily access and share information. The only problem is that American companies aren't much better, if better at all, but at least they aren't controlled by a foreign government.

Yes I have. It has everything to do with what you "like" and who you follow. And no one had any problem with Tik Tok until it started to get political. The left tried to counter with leftist propaganda vids but was absolutely destroyed in the comment section.
