Many homeless people are vets with PTSD.
What do you propose we do for these folks?

i propose they don't sign up for watseful wars and if they do, when they come back they get a job like millions of good vets do
don't fetishize war

I think it's unreasonable to trivialize brain damage.
I agree that the wars should be ended.

first it's like 1% vets with ptsd out there begging. probably less in vancouver. extreme cold too? They need to get off the streets, get into rescue missions. if a vet they need to go to the VA hospital. There are always millions of excuses to beg for money so they can get money for drugs. None of it is legit. The only one you can come up with is a vet with ptsd but even then there are options besides being homeless and begging.

Like the way you spend a whole $20 per day running that soup kitchen that feeds 50 homeless vets every day because you really give a shit and totally handle the problem in your area. Oh, wait ..... never mind.

Everyone who signs up for a job that involves killing strangers has brain damage?
Many vets with PTSD are not homeless. What do you propose we do for THOSE folks?

This is why it needs to be enforced. If you're out on the street for too long you really should be thinking about your life while in you're in a prison cell. It might sound bad, but I know for a fact there is a chance it's better in a cell than gambling your safety out on the streets. However the people with "compassion" want to keep giving these people "support", which effectively makes their situation last longer. If you have literally no option but to sleep outside, a prison cell is not a bad option, and if authorities had their shit together they could even have low security prison just for homeless people and increase the likelihood they will improve their lives.
